Take a hardy walk into the past with Cape Cod Museum of Natural History archaeologist Dan Zoto.

Imagine finding a Native American cooking vessel or an artifact from Brewster ’s earliest colonists.

The Wing Island Archaeology Project walk, at 11 a.m. July 13, will explore aspects of the island’s diverse history that include Native Americans , Brewster's first colonists, 19th century salt works, and other topics.

Zoto, a professional archaeologist, works and lives on Cape Cod. His research interests include stone tools, coastal archaeology and cultural resource management.

The walk is 90 minutes over some challenging terrain. Tickets, at $15 each, may be purchased at www.ccmnh.org or call 508-896-3867, ext. 133. Museum admission is not included in the price.
