Police have released security camera photos of the person they believe robbed the Santander Bank on Beaverton Boulevard shortly after noon Wednesday .

The photos show the person walking with a backpack and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black athletic joggers and white athletic shoes. During the robbery, he disguised his appearance with a white mask and umbrella, Brick Police Officer Terence Berkeley said.

During the robbery, he was wearing lime green work gloves, he said.

Just before 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, the unknown individual entered the bank between Brick and Beaverton boulevards, demanded money from the teller and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No weapon was shown, Berkeley said.

The suspect was last seen headed west in the area of Beaverton Boulevard, he said.

Police are urging anyone with information about the bank robbery to call Brick Police Detective Tara Schinder at 732-262-1115 or Detective Brian Farnkopf 732-262-4611.
