Christie Brinkley Gets Into the Country Spirit in Strapless White Dress With Matching Cowboy Hat

Christie Brinkley has been a fashion icon for decades, and the former Sports Illustrated cover model shows no signs of slowing down. In a recent appearance at Polo Hamptons 2024 in Bridgehampton, New York, the star combined a classic summer look with Western accessories for a thoroughly modern vibe that's sure to inspire countless copycat ensembles.

Wearing a white off-the-shoulder sundress with a matching cowboy hat and turquoise bracelets, Brinkley embodied the effortless "Hamptons" style captured by her clothing line, TwrHll (which is named after Brinkley's Hamptons estate, Tower Hill).

With her trademark blonde locks long and flowing and a colorful lip, Brinkley—who recently turned 70—was the definition of timeless beauty.

As WWD reported, in May, Brinkley spoke to Today hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager about what "Hamptons style" really means.

“I think it’s when your outfit looks just as good with a pair of tennis shoes or espadrilles or bare feet. It’s got that kind of casual softness to it. Comfort is very important.”

Brinkley also shared her upbeat perspective on aging.

“There’s nothing to fear, it really is an amazing time. You kind of don’t really care what other people think about you. You just have fun.”

During the same appearance, Brinkley opened up about how she was diagnosed with skin cancer when she accompanied her daughter to the dermatologist.

"I was in the room, and he had this little magnifying glass out, and he's looking at a couple of things that she was worried about. I thought, 'There is that little spot right on the side of my head right here...Should I say anything? It's not my appointment.'"

Brinkley finally asked the doctor to look at her skin, and it was a good thing she did—the doctor said an immediate biopsy was necessary. The spot turned out to be cancerous, and Brinkley had surgery to remove it.

“The good news for me is we caught the basal cell Carcinoma early," Brinkley wrote on Instagram following the procedure. "And I had great Doctors that removed the cancer and stitched me up to perfection like an haute couture Dior."

Brinkley definitely knows a thing or two about haute couture—and now, Hamptons couture.
