Bay City Public Schools Has Bus Tracking App for Parents and Caregivers
Bay City Public Schools is launching an app for parents and guardians that will allow for accurate, real-time tracking of their children’s school buses. The Stopfinder application was created by the district’s routing software company, Transfinder. It is free to parents and guardians and allows users to customize when they receive alerts about their children’s bus location. The app is also a two-way communication tool, providing parents with an easy way to communicate quickly with district transportation officials and receive instant notifications.

Rib Fest cooks up appetizing slate of events for 2024
BAY CITY, MI – Four nights of live music, fun events and some of the best-tasting barbecue from around the country is coming to Bay City this week. Beginning Thursday, July 25, the Labadie Rib Fest will be cooking up an appetizing array of festivities for the whole family. Histories of Arthur Hill, Saginaw High schools traced in planned museum exhibit
SAGINAW, MI — A museum display next week will chart the histories of two high schools that shut down weeks ago after generations spent teaching Saginaw pupils. The Castle Museum of Saginaw County History on Monday, Aug. 5, will open the display dedicated to the histories of Arthur Hill High School and Saginaw High School.

Owosso’s North Pole Express tickets sold out
OWOSSO, Mich. (WILX) - After nearly an hour of going on sale, tickets for Owosso’s North Pole Express ride are sold out. Tickets went on sale at noon on July 25. The trips do not begin until November. The train departs from the Steam Railroading Institute for a round trip to the Village of Ashley’s Country Christmas.

Saginaw, Buena Vista grants to boost park, rail trail
SAGINAW, MI — Two Saginaw County communities will receive a combined $1.8 million in public and private grant monies to invest in outdoor amenities. Buena Vista Township will receive $891,300 to revitalize Kueffner Park while Saginaw will collect $862,500 to invest in enhancements at Iron Belle Trail, officials said.

Crime Stoppers Offering Reward In Sunday Flint Homicide
Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 dollar reward for information leading to an arrest in a Flint homicide. Around 2:00 Sunday afternoon, 30-year-old Shanquice Love was found dead in the parking lot of the Travel Inn in the 2000 block of South Dort Highway, according to officials. Another person reportedly suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the shooting.
