Taking an early look at Northwestern for 2024
The world of college football counted out the Northwestern Wildcats heading into the 2023 season. The Wildcats underwent a tornado of an offseason, firing their all-time winningest coach, Pat Fitzgerald, after a hazing scandal came to light. Northwestern decided to stay in-house with its next head football coach, hiring David Braun, the team’s defensive coordinator. Braun inherited a team that went 1-11 the previous season, and he lost 11 players to decommitments or the portal. Not to mention, several former players and Fitzgerald were suing the school.
Flint City Attorney nabs new job in Battle Creek
Flint, MI — City Attorney William Kim is leaving Flint for a position on the west end of the state. According to Battle Creek City Commission records, officials interviewed Kim on June 18, 2024 during their regularly scheduled meeting where they went into closed session prior to introducing Kim to the public. Officials said all of the candidates for the position including Kim asked for that their applications to be reviewed in closed session.
