Storm reports: Nine confirmed tornadoes from July 15 derecho
PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — Severe storms blasted through central Illinois on July 15, bringing widespread damaging wind, heavy rain and tornadoes to the region. Observed thunderstorm winds reached over 100 mph in a few locations, both a result of straight-line winds and tornadoes. Outside of tornadoes, most areas experienced wind gusts 60 to 80 mph which resulted in numerous trees and power lines being damaged across the region.

Robinson City Council Meets Tonight
(Robinson) – The Robinson City Council meets tonight for its regular monthly meeting. In “Old Business,” the City will review a resolution authorizing the Street Department to perform maintenance for the Wastewater Department and an ordinance to amend the liquor license limit for the City of Robinson. In “New Business,” they will review the annual appropriation ordinance, approve a tourism application, approve fundraising for the development of a new pickleball court, and approve a resolution of support and commitment of funds to the Greater Wabash Regional Planning Commission. In other news, the City Council will approve K9 squad car repair, the hiring of a part-time police secretary, and the payment of a couple of bills. The Robinson City Council meets this evening at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Robinson Civic Center.

Illinois basketball’s roster has now fully arrived on campus. Per his Instagram page, big man Tomislav Ivisic has officially arrived at the Illinois campus. After an extended wait with the entire process that is required for an overseas citizen to arrive at a college campus, Ivisic completes the Illini’s roster. He will now immediately join team activities and hopefully be up to speed by the time the fall rolls around. EST Gee's manager was reportedly shot and killed in his car following the rapper's hometown show in Louisville, Ky. On Monday (July 22), local Louisville news station WLKY reported that 31-year-old Devontae Beach had been found shot multiple times inside a car in downtown Louisville early on Sunday morning (July 21). Other outlets including TMZ reported that Beach was EST Gee's current manager, and went by EST Big Beach.
