Milton committee to undertake parks inventory
The Milton Parks and Recreation Committee is set to begin an inventory and investigation into existing conditions of the town’s parks. Councilman Scotty Edler, the committee’s chair, said the plan is to use volunteer help with arborist and park management experience to help conduct the inventory. He said as the town continues to expand and grow, the idea is to see what is already in the town’s parks in terms of trees and infrastructure. The ultimate goal is to create a master plan that ties into the town’s comprehensive development plan.

The Dover Police Department is putting out an alert about a recent uptick in calls regarding juveniles using Gel-Blaster guns, commonly referred to as Orbeez, including “drive-by” style incidents. If your child owns one of these Orbeez guns, Dover PD asks that you monitor their use and talk to them about the associated risks from improper use and as well use of these toys in public.
SALISBURY ZOO LAUNCHES NEW SLATE OF EVENTS
Salisbury, MD - The Salisbury Zoo offers a new slate of events this summer that are fun for the whole family. First up is Breakfast with Bears, set for Saturday, July 20, from 8-10 a.m., before Andean Bear Day. Families will enjoy a light breakfast at the Zoo, along with fun activities and a talk by animal care staff, with enrichment. Admission is $30 for ages 13-plus and $20 for kids ages 2-12; members get a $5 discount. A portion of the proceeds will go toward the new Andean bear exhibit.
