11 Non-Conference Games Fill Out Men's Ice Hockey Schedule
HAMDEN, Conn. — The 2024-25 men's ice hockey regular season non-conference schedule is set, as the Bobcats announced their 11-game out of league slate on Tuesday afternoon. After an exhibition against Northeastern on Oct. 6, Rand Pecknold's club will open the 2024-25 regular season with a home contest against Penn State on Oct. 12 at M&T Bank Arena. It will be the first meeting between the two schools.

DERBY – The city’s human resources director is suing Derby because elected officials reduced her annual salary by more than $19,000, according to court documents. The move was unconstitutional, a breach of contract, and displayed an “arrogance of power,” according to a federal complaint filed by Shelton attorney Thomas W. Bucci on behalf of Derby Human Resources Director Katherine Christopher.
No one injured after fire at homeless encampment in Wethersfield
WETHERSFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — No one was injured after a fire broke out at a homeless encampment in Wethersfield on Tuesday. The encampment, which was located on Hartford Avenue under Route 5 and 15, was destroyed in the fire.
