A pilot project in New Haven aimed at giving money to people injured by violence to help them in their recovery is expanding. Yale New Haven Hospital, funded by the nonprofit 4-CT, last year gave $1,000 each to 100 victims of violent crimes – primarily young men recovering from gunshot wounds at the hospital.

HAMDEN, Conn. — The 2024-25 men's ice hockey regular season non-conference schedule is set, as the Bobcats announced their 11-game out of league slate on Tuesday afternoon. After an exhibition against Northeastern on Oct. 6, Rand Pecknold's club will open the 2024-25 regular season with a home contest against Penn State on Oct. 12 at M&T Bank Arena. It will be the first meeting between the two schools.

DERBY – The city’s human resources director is suing Derby because elected officials reduced her annual salary by more than $19,000, according to court documents. No one injured after fire at homeless encampment in Wethersfield
