BRIGHTON, N.Y. (WROC) – Clover Blossom – a senior living center in Brighton held its first ever Camp Legacy.

The camp offered a unique opportunity for anyone over 62-years-old to relive their childhood summer camp days while discovering what being a member of a retirement community is all about.

The camp held many fun activities including nature walks and a carnival day which featured a concession stand and carnival games.

News 8 caught up with a camp director and resident to learn more on the creation and excitement of this experience.

“It’s wonderful. The food was fantastic, the classes have been busy all day. I go home, sit on the sofa and fall asleep. It’s really giving me a marvelous experience,” Camp resident Cory Edmonson said.

Organizers tell us the camp has been a huge success as they have had multiple new residents join each day.
