It’s official: Oak View National Bank will open its new branch in Flint Hill in early September. The branch will be located at 644 Zachary Taylor Highway, Flint Hill, in the building formerly occupied by Truist Bank, which closed the location in March 2023, and its longtime predecessor BB&T.
Town of Elkton holds grand opening for new Downtown Marketplace
ELKTON, Va. (WHSV)—Dozens attended the unveiling of Elkton’s new Downtown Marketplace Friday Evening. Many locals and project donors attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony. The project was over 30 years in the making in the historic area dubbed ‘Lawn Party Hill,’ but it wasn’t until 2021 that the old owners were willing to sell the land to the town. The town was recently awarded a $155,000 grant from the Virginia Outdoors Foundation for its Downtown Marketplace project.
