The Rack Pack Relay for Life of Warren-Henderson Team is hosting their 2nd Annual Bags Tournament on Saturday, August 3rd. Team Member Michelle Marshall has the details:. “It is in Galesburg at the Reserve Artisan Ales, which is at 185 South Kellogg Street. We also have a food event coming. We have a pop-up event with Sugba Smokehouse. The actual event starts at 2 pm for registration and sign-in and then at 4 pm we will start the bags tournament. There will be a cash prize awarded to the first and second place teams. You can register by texting 309-299-2325. There is a pre-registration by July 27th, that just helps us know how many teams to plan for, but we will take registration at the sign-in at two o’clock on that Saturday.”

Great Balloon Race among 9 things happening in Galesburg this weekend
It's the final weekend in July which means summer is slowly starting to come to an end. But don't worry, there's still plenty going on in the Galesburg area this weekend. What: Smiley the Scarecrow, a 160,000 cubic feet balloon standing 120 feet tall, is the special shape for this year’s event. He will join 19 other hot air balloons to fly over the Galesburg area and glow for an up-close look. Food vendors will be selling food by the shelter of the launch field. Event t-shirts and raffle tickets available for purchase. There will be plenty more for kids and adults as well.
Former Sears Property in Peru Back Up for Auction
It's back to the drawing board for the vacant Sears property at Peru Mall. After quite a bidding frenzy, the property sold for $1.5 million in early May. Illinois Man Arrested for Allegedly Abusing North Carolina Teen
Green Oaks, IL – A 15-year-old girl from North Carolina was rescued from a Green Oaks residence, where she was allegedly held and abused. According to the United States Marshals Service, the missing girl was found on Prairie Ridge Road after an investigation with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
