Man dead after shooting in St. Paul's Frogtown neighborhood

One man is dead after a shooting in St. Paul’s Frogtown neighborhood Wednesday evening.

According to the St. Paul Police Department, officers responded to multiple reports of shots fired at the intersection of Charles Avenue and Galtier Street just before 7 p.m.

At the scene, officers found a man sitting in a parked vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds in his torso. He was taken to Regions Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity has not yet been released.

SPPD says it is currently looking for physical and video evidence in connection with the shooting, which marked the 15th homicide in the city so far this year.
