    The Farmers' Almanac believes Minnesota's fall weather will be frigid and wet

    Yeah, yeah, yeah, everyone would love to get paid to be correct 50% of the time like meteorologists. It's a tried and true quip, but do can anyone on the planet use the mysterious formula that helps The Farmers' Almanac come up with long-range weather forecasts?

    That's a duty reserved for only those inside the secret Almanac chambers. Soon, we'll be talking about what the Old Farmer's Almanac and The Farmers' Almanac are predicting for Minnesota's upcoming winter, but did you know the publications also release other seasonal forecasts?

    Typically, non-winter seasonal forecasts aren't quite as interesting but we have stumbled upon an exception this year as the fall forecast from The Farmers' Almanac calls for a "frigid & wet" period in Minnesota.

    "Fall will be frosty and wet in the Great Lakes, Midwest region while the temperatures in the North Central region may be downright frigid, with lots of fall flakes and rain," The Farmers' Almanac predicts.

    "November looks to be unusually unsettled and this could be especially true around the time of the Thanksgiving holiday," it continues, noting that an "early-season heavy snowfall is expected across the North Central states Nov. 8-11.

    When you leave your home to vote for president on Nov. 5, "grab your umbrellas" because it's apparently going to be wet in the central and western states.

    How does the Almanac's outlook compare to NOAA's September-November view? NOAA is far less confident, giving Minnesota a 50-50 chance for both above or below normal temperatures, and above or below normal precipitation.

    What's the Old Farmer's Almanac saying for this fall? Below average precipitation for Minnesota. However, do note that the same publication predicted a "hot and dry" summer for Minnesota and it's been the complete opposite...
