Suspect arrested in fatal stabbing of Eden Prairie man

A suspect is in custody after a 42-year-old man was fatally stabbed in Eden Prairie over the weekend.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office on Monday identified the victim as Jama Ahmed Muse, of Eden Prairie.

According to the Eden Prairie Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 6 p.m. Saturday to a fight between two men near Wallace Road and Technology Drive.

When officers arrived, they found Muse suffering from multiple stab wounds to his chest. He later died at the Hennepin County Medical Center, with his death since ruled a homicide.

According to police, officers located the suspect, a 36-year-old man, a short distance from the scene and arrested him.

Police said the investigation indicates the suspect and victim knew each other and there are no additional suspects being sought at this time.
