Minnesota Yacht Club Festival to return next year, adds third day

Minnesota Yacht Club was the biggest music festival to take place inside the Twin Cities in more than a decade – but it's about to get bigger.

C3 Presents, the company that organizes the festival, has wasted no time in deciding it wants to return. On Tuesday, the Minnesota Yacht Club announced it's returning to Harriet Island for a second year, scheduled over the weekend of July 18, 2025.

    What's more, it's expanding. It'll now be a three-day affair.

Of course, with just under a year until the new three-day version of Minnesota Yacht Club, tickets aren't available and any kind of lineup announcement is far off on the horizon.

However, C3's Tim Sweetwood teased that there is an expectation for an even bigger fest next year. "It's sort of a slow burn to start," he told the Star Tribune in July. "We'll try to give it a little more color and better branding, the kind of things we have a good feel for at C3, being primarily a festival producer."

The first Minnesota Yacht Club Festival featured the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Gwen Stefani, Alanis Morisette, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, The Hold Steady , Soul Asylum , Hippo Campus , Gary Clark Jr., The Offspring, The Head and The Heart, and more. The Black Crowes were also scheduled to perform but c anceled the day before their appearance due to illness.
