Motorcyclist dies after crashing into guardrail on I-35W in Minneapolis

A 23-year-old motorcyclist died after crashing into a guardrail in Minneapolis early Friday morning.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Piper Louise Forsen, of Minneapolis, drove her Suzuki SV650 motorcycle southbound on Interstate 35W at "an elevated speed" a little after midnight.

The incident report states that she could not navigate a curve in the road, causing her motorcycle to collide with the guardrail.

Forsen was taken to the Hennepin County Medical Center by paramedics, where she would later die from her injuries.

The State Patrol says it is not known at this time if alcohol was a contributing factor.
