One dead, two injured after motorcyclist crashes on I-35

A 20-year-old man has died and two others were injured when a motorcyclist crashed into a car on Interstate 35 Thursday evening.

The incident report says Cooper Bertram, of Elko, was driving his Suzuki motorcycle at a "high speed" south on Interstate 35 in Scott County just before midnight.

While driving between lanes, the motorcycle rear-ended a Toyota RAV4. The bike came to rest on the left shoulder, while the Toyota went into the right ditch.

The two Toyota passengers suffered "non-life threatening" injuries, while Bertram died at the scene.
