A motorcyclist was badly injured when he struck a deer in Morrison County Friday morning.

The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office says it received a report of a motorcycle accident about four miles from Pierz on Partridge Road, south of 153rd Street, just before 6 a.m.

The motorcyclist, 33-year-old Cody Keeler of Oak Park, Minnesota, was traveling north on Partridge Road when he struck the deer. The sheriff's office says Keeler was taken to an area hospital with unknown injuries, but family members are reporting on social media that he was severely injured.

According to a GoFundMe for Keeler , who is the father of a 15-year-old and a 1-month-old, he suffered a fractured skull, brain bleed, collapsed lung, broken ribs, a broken clavicle and "many other injuries."

"Cody's rode to recovery will be a long," his sister wrote in the GoFundMe. "The next few days will determine what happens. Anything helps, donations, prayers, good thoughts. Please keep my brother in your thoughts. Thank you to all have have already donated and the continued prayers."

The sheriff's office says Keeler was not wearing a helmet.
