Motorcyclist killed in collision with SUV in East Bethel

A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with an SUV driver in East Bethel over the weekend.

The Anoka County Sheriff's Office says it was called to a crash near the 4500 block of Fawn Lake Dr. NE at 3:29 p.m. on Saturday.

A woman was traveling east in her SUV on Fawn Lake Drive NE when she began to turn left into a driveway. The motorcyclist, who was behind the SUV, went into the oncoming lane as the SUV driver turned, striking the side of the vehicle.

Emergency responders attempted lifesaving measures to the man, but he died at the scene. The woman driving the SUV sustained minor injuries.

The crash is still under investigation.
