Minnesota girl, 12, in critical condition after Ohio crash that killed her father and brother

A 12-year-old Minnesotan girl is in critical condition after a crash that killed her father and brother in Ohio. A GoFundMe has been organized to pay her medical bills.

Tenzin Choedon, of Prior Lake, was severely injured in the crash on the Ohio Turnpike near Toledo on August 15.

Her father, Tenzin Drukgyal, 46, a US Postal Service employee, and her little brother, Dawa Norbu, 9, were killed in the crash.

Tenzin remains in a critical condition at the hospital, where she is with her mother, who also survived the crash.

"The road ahead for her and her mother is long and filled with uncertainty, both physically and emotionally," reads the GoFundMe set up by the Dhokham Chushi Gangdruk of Minnesota, a Tibetan community organization.

The organization is raising money to help cover Tenzin's medical expenses and future care. The funds will also aid her grieving mother in the aftermath.

"We cannot change what has happened, but we can come together to support Tenzin and her mother in this darkest of times," the GoFundMe reads.

They have currently raised $17,112 of their $100,000 goal.
