Third Space Cafe at LynLake will close in October

Third Space Cafe at LynLake has announced it will close its doors at the end of October when its lease is up.

The cafe, which opened in the fall of 2021 as a testament to the third spaces that had been sorely missed during pandemic shutdowns, made the announcement on social media , calling it a "difficult decision."

"It's an increasingly challenging time for small businesses in the industry, the neighborhood, and the city," it wrote. "We are confident that we gave it our best."

Third Space made a name with creative coffee concoctions like its Lavender Haze Espresso Tonic. It stood out for offering them in a flight or as stand-alone drinks.

The cafe will continue to be open as usual until the closure. "We hope to see all of you in the coming months as we prepare for the end of this wonderful chapter in our lives," the post continued. "Fear not – we will be slinging coffee flights and yummy drinks for the next few months to end on a bang so please come see us!"

Third Space at 2930 Lyndale Ave. in Minneapolis is open from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
