Two adults, two children seriously injured in Isanti County crash

Two adults and two children were hospitalized after a crash in Isanti County Saturday morning.

The Isanti County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a crash at County Road 5 and County Road 7 in Spencer Brook Township just after 11 a.m:

At the scene, deputies found two vehicles with serious damage. The driver and passenger of one vehicle — identified as a man and a woman — were seriously injured in the crash and flown to a hospital in the metro area.

The other vehicle included a driver and three children. Two of the children were taken to a nearby hospital before they were also flown to a metro hospital with serious injuries.

According to a preliminary investigation, one of the vehicles — a Chevrolet Traverse SUV — was traveling south on Feldspar Street Northwest when it failed to stop at a stop sign at County Road 5. It then T-boned the other car, a Honda Pilot that was traveling east.

There's been no update on the conditions of the victims yet.

An investigation into the crash is now underway.
