Lakeville man, 33, killed in motorcycle crash in Minneapolis

A motorcycle rider from Lakeville was killed in a crash along Interstate 94 in Minneapolis on Saturday.

It happened around 6:23 p.m. at the Riverside Avenue offramp, where the Minnesota State Patrol says the rider "went onto the grassy apex, lost control and then struck the sound wall."

He was pronounced dead at Hennepin Healthcare. He's been identified as William Wade Lyons, 33.

The State Patrol says he was not wearing a helmet. It's not yet known whether alcohol was a factor in the crash.
