The Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC), the organization that runs Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport , has released a request for proposals for eight new concessions operators in Terminal 2.

Six of the new tenants will replace existing businesses whose leases are nearing term, including two Caribou Coffees (one pre-security), Surdyk's Flights wine bar, Subway, and Mpls. St. Paul News & Gifts, a MAC representative tells Bring Me The News.

The other two locations are part of an expansion that will add a pair of new gates at the north end of Terminal 2. Construction began on the expansion earlier this summer with an expected completion date in early 2027.

The MAC is looking for a local full-service restaurant, two national quick-service restaurants, a bar, a news and convenience store, and three coffee shops, one of which will be located pre-security.

“We’re looking for a balance of local and national concepts — food and retail — that meets our customers’ needs, paired with concessions operators who have experience delivering quality service in a high-traffic environment,” MAC interim Vice President of Revenue Development Isabella Rhawie said in a statement.

Interested businesses have until Dec. 9 to submit proposals and are required to attend a conference on Sept. 17. More information can be found on the MAC website .
