The Twin Cities are getting another sports bar with an emphasis on elevated food.

The Rabbit Hole is coming to Minneapolis' North Loop neighborhood , taking up residence at 411 North Washington Ave. in the former home of Axebridge Wine Co., according to the North Loop Neighborhood Association . The restaurant and bar plans to open the first weekend of December.

The Rabbit Hole, not to be confused with the Midtown Global Market restaurant of the same name that closed in 2018, will have 40 TVs with access to NFL Sunday Ticket and ESPN+ and will also host cover bands and DJs on Thursday through Saturday nights. More TVs will be added with a renovation of the back patio, planned for the spring of 2025.

However, it's the food that The Rabbit Hole hopes will separate it from other sports bars, with Chef Tom Pivec, owner/operator of Lord Fletcher’s on Lake Minnetonka, overseeing a menu that focuses on elevated American cuisine.

“We’re going to have a really fun food experience,” co-owner Joe Berg tells the North Loop Neighborhood Association. “We don’t want to be just another place coming into the neighborhood to sell alcohol late-night and not put an emphasis on the food.”
