Social media star ‘Chef Reactions’ gives Twin Cities restaurant 100/10 rating

Content creator Chef Reactions, who has over 3 million followers on TikTok, checked out the Twin Cities food scene during his first-ever visit to Minnesota recently.

The social media star behind the brand, who hasn’t revealed his true identity, is perhaps best known for his deadpan criticism of other food and recipe videos.

However, his visit to the Minnesota State Fair brought a broadly positive review of the food at the great Minnesota get-together .

In a new YouTube vlog released Sunday, Chef Reactions takes viewers along as he discovers more of the Twin Cities culinary scene.

Here’s what he checked out:

While a guest at the Saint Paul Hotel, the creator kicked off his morning with breakfast at The Drake.

He gave the meal an 8/10 rating ("for a hotel breakfast") before heading off to Hmong Village to taste the stuffed chicken wings at Moon's Kitchen.

He also visited the acclaimed Saint Dinette, which plans to close down next year .

The chef next went to northeast Minneapolis institution Kramarczuk's Deli for lunch, where he ordered potato and cheese pierogis, Ukrainian sausage and a side of sauerkraut and fried onions.

"When I tell you this is the perfect plate of food for me, I am not exaggerating," he said. "That's one-hundred out of ten, absolutely no notes. Would recommend."

At the Mall of America, Chef Reactions found some great food in an unlikely place.

"That's really [expletive] good," he said, while trying some jalapeño poppers at The Fair on 4.

While expecting the arcade's food to be frozen, he met up with the chef and learned the jalapeño poppers and corn dog batter are made-in-house.

A foodie trip to the Twin Cities wouldn't be complete without a visit to Matt's Bar, where Chef Reactions gave the Jucy Lucy a 10/10 review.
