Edina man killed, woman injured in crash on Lake Superior's North Shore

An Edina man has died following a crash on Lake Superior's North Shore on Tuesday evening.

The Cook County Sheriff's Office says it was called to a crash in the Tofte area just before 8:30 p.m. and found a man and a woman injured.

The man, identified as Douglas Junker, was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman, who is also from Edina, was taken to a hospital in Duluth for treatment. There are no details on the extent of her injuries.

The crash is under investigation by the sheriff's office and the Minnesota State Patrol.
