Nordic Village returns to Four Seasons rooftop this winter with 'The Lodge' cocktail lounge

The Nordic Village at the Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis will return for its third season this winter.

The downtown hotel will kick off its rooftop cabin dining experience on Nov. 1. However, this year, it's adding The Lodge, a 24-seat cocktail lounge that will also sit on the roof with the rest of the cabins.

This year's iteration, which lasts through March 30, 2025, features a four-course Nordic-inspired menu with prices starting at $175 per person. (That's $10 more than last year.) Details on Executive Chef Martín Morelli's menu will be revealed in the coming weeks.

The dinner, along with wine-pairing options, will be available in five cabins that seat four and three that seat eight diners. It'll be open to diners without a reservation throughout the season, as long as there isn't a private event booked.

“Nordic Village is an experience that brings people together. It’s all about sharing great food and coming together around the table," Morelli says. "Many of our guests have a pretty good idea of what a Minnesota cabin experience is like, but if you don’t, we want you to know this isn’t a formal place; it’s meant to be familiar..”

The weekend markets, curated by Mich Berthiaume, that previously accompanied the Nordic Village will also return in November. The market, which is free to attend, will feature local artists and vendors every Saturday and Sunday from Nov. 2 through Dec. 22. The Lodge will be open for cocktails during all of the market events, weather permitting.

For those curious about how this all comes together, the Four Seasons is welcoming guests to an informal get-together on the hotel grounds and its Socca Cafe on Oct. 7 when the lodge and eight cabins will be lifted onto the hotel roof.

A launch party and open house will happen about a month after the lift. During the Nov. 2 celebration, the hotel will have local vendors and complimentary welcome drinks on hand for anyone who wants to scope out the Nordic Village before its season officially gets underway.
