Korean egg drop sandwiches, featuring soft scrambled eggs between thick slices of milk bread toast, are now being served in the heart of Dinkytown.

Momo Korean Egg Drop opened this week under the same roof as Bober Tea & Mochi Dough (405 14th Avenue Southeast, Minneapolis), with egg sandwiches and sliders featuring additions such as bulgogi, SPAM, thick-cut bacon and more.

The international franchise arrived stateside this year, with nearly a dozen U.S. locations – mostly in California – now open or coming soon.

A group of friends, inspired by K-dramas and looking for a way to “bring joy and hope through food” during the pandemic, launched Momo Korean Egg Drop in the Philippines in 2021, according to the chain’s website.

The new Minneapolis outpost is the only Momo Korean Egg Drop in Minnesota.
