Donations are pouring in for the family of a Rice man killed in an ATV accident.

Jason Clarence Trobec, 47, was killed in an ATV crash on Sep. 21.

Trobec and his wife had four children. The couple’s first grandchild was also recently born.

Trobec worked as an overseer at Westwood Community Church and with the St. Stephen Fire Department.

A GoFundMe was recently created to help Trobec’s family pay for funeral costs and other expenses. As of Friday, the fundraiser had reached around $8,700 of its $10,000 goal.

"His passion for teaching was evident in his enthusiasm for sharing his diverse interests, including youth ministry, construction, mixed martial arts, self-defense, hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, and ATV riding," his obituary continues.

"He inspired both friends and family to explore new pursuits with excellence as he also strived to do."
