Delta may add its exclusive Delta One Lounge to MSP Airport

Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport could be among the next airports to get Delta 's new Delta One Lounge.

The lounges are among the most high-end perks the airline offers, and Minneapolis could get one in the not-too-distant future CEO Ed Bastian said during the Airport Foundation MSP's State of the Airport event, the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal reports .

Delta Air Lines opened its first Delta One Lounge this summer at New York's JFK Airport and has already announced plans to open similar spaces at Los Angeles International (this fall), Boston's Logan International (by the end of 2024), and Seattle-Tacoma International (spring 2025).

"MSP needs one, and we're working and trying to figure that out, so we'll be coming... with some ideas," Bastian said at the event, per the Business Journal.

While Delta has three Sky Club lounges at MSP, the Delta One Lounge is its latest amenity for travelers looking to spend more to travel in comfort.

At JFK, the lounge comes with three-course meals, spa treatments, showers, a dedicated bar, a luxury space for passing the time before flights, and amenity kits.

The lounges are only available to passengers with a Delta One business class ticket. The exclusivity to high-spending business travelers is partly aimed at providing less crowded lounges and relieving congestion in its more accessible Sky Club lounges.

A potential Delta One Lounge isn't the only thing the airline is adding to service at MSP. It recently announced it would begin nonstop flights to Rome next year as well.
