Five people — including four from Minnesota — were killed in a multi-vehicle crash in Utah Thursday.

According to the Utah Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred Thursday on Highway 6 near milepost 235 in Prince, and left two people from Brooklyn Center and two from St. Paul dead.

An SUV traveling east had reportedly attempted to pull into a passing lane but overshot, ending up in a lane occupied by a semi.

The semi then lost control and crashed into a Nissan SUV in a westbound lane, pushing it off the roadway, before both the semi and the Nissan struck an ATV.

The four occupants of the Nissan SUV, all hailing from Minnesota, were killed in the crash. They were identified as:

    • Sang Her, 56, of Brooklyn Center
    • Lee Thao, 38, of Brooklyn Center
    • Bee Moua, 26, of St. Paul
    • Mai Lor, 25, of St. Paul

The driver of the ATV, identified as 35-year-old Gustavo Mendoza of Utah, was also killed in the crash.

The driver of the other SUV was hospitalized with minor injuries.
