A 'Dragon Ball' fest is coming to the Mall of America

Dragon Ball is coming to Minnesota.

Not in a "Oh no, the fabric of reality is folding in itself and we're all becoming anime characters and why doesn't this fire hurt me? I feel so powerful!" kind of way. More of a "festival celebrating the characters" kind of way.

The Dragon Ball DAIMA North American Tour is making three stops around North America, starting with a three-date fest at the Mall of America from Nov. 22–24.

It's a celebration of the story's 40th anniversary and the Oct. 11 start of the franchise's new series, Dragon Ball DAIMA , a show whose story and character designs were helmed by Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama before his death earlier this year.

The Mall of America event takes place in the Huntington Bank Rotunda and will have loads of Dragon Ball activities, including a fair set-up for new cards and collectibles, a vendor market, giveaways, and more that will be announced closer to the event.

After the Mall of America, the tour will head to American Dream in New Jersey from Dec. 13–15 and the West Edmonton Mall in Edmonton from Feb. 14–16, 2025.
