Lynx open upper deck at Target Center for WNBA Finals Games 3 and 4

Target Center will be rocking next week for the Lynx's first WNBA Finals appearance since 2017. The team is opening up the upper deck for Games 3 and 4 against the New York Liberty next week, which are set for Wednesday and Friday night.

Fans can purchase upper level tickets for Game 3 through the Lynx's website . They're currently priced at $22-38 before fees. The lower bowl is sold out for Wednesday, though lower-level seats are still currently available for Friday's game.

The upper deck is typically tarped off for Lynx home games to create a more intimate atmosphere. The only time it opened up this season was when Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever came to town on July 14 and August 24. It has also been open for playoff games in the past, but it remained closed this year for the series against the Mercury and Sun.

The Lynx's announced attendance for Tuesday's Game 5 of the league semifinals against the Sun was 8,769. That's a solid number and technically a sellout, but it's also less than half of the arena's capacity for basketball games, which is around 19,000.

Behind strong performances from Napheesa Collier, Courtney Williams, and Kayla McBride, the Lynx beat Connecticut 88-77 to win the series 3-2 and advance to the Finals. They'll face the star-studded No. 1 seed Liberty, who are 37-10 this year between the regular season and playoffs. The second-seeded Lynx are 36-12 and went 3-1 against New York this year, beating them twice in the regular season and once in the WNBA Commissioner's Cup title game.

Game 1 is Thursday night in Brooklyn. Game 2 is on Sunday afternoon. The series returns for Game 3 and Game 4 (if necessary) in Minneapolis and would return to New York for a Game 5 on October 20 if tied at 2-2. You can find the full schedule and TV details here .

The Lynx, who won four titles in six Finals appearances between 2011-17, are looking to become the first team in WNBA history with five championships. The Liberty are searching for their first-ever title.
