The Lynx won Game 1 of the WNBA Finals Thursday night, completing the biggest comeback in WNBA Finals history in a 95-92 overtime thriller. One of the biggest stars of the night for Minnesota was Napheesa Collier, who dropped 21 points but more importantly played stifling defense in locking down Breanna Stewart late in the Lynx's win.

The Ringer's Bill Simmons took notice of Collier's performance.

"Went to Game 1 of the W Finals last night — incredibly fun sporting event. Liberty crowd was an A+. My big takeaway: Collier is incredible," Simmons wrote. "Best women’s player I’ve ever seen in person. Locked down Stewart in a crazy way. I left thinking NY blew it and Minn will win the title."

Collier ended the night with six blocks and three steals to help the Lynx take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-five series.

Game 2 will Sunday in Brooklyn, New York at 2 p.m. CT and the game will be televised on ABC. Game 3 will return the series in Minneapolis on Wednesday at 7 p.m. CT.
