The Minnesota Wild are hoping Joel Eriksson Ek has nothing more than a bloody nose after he went to the trainer's room after taking a big elbow to his face during the Minnesota Wild's game against the Seattle Kraken Saturday night in St. Paul.

The elbow came from Seattle's Adam Larsson as the two raced for a puck behind the goal. Larsson wasn't called for a penalty, and just moments later Minnesota was tagged for a highly questionable tripping penalty on Jonas Brodin.

The penalty on Brodin put the Kraken on the power play and they tied the game 2-2 exactly one minute into the man advantage.

Eriksson Ek returned for a shift in the third period but then left the game again and didn't return.

Minnesota blew three leads and wound up losing 5-4 in a shootout. Get the recap here .
