Kyle Connor scored on the power play 51 seconds into overtime as the Wild dropped their second in a row with a 2-1 loss to the Winnipeg Jets Sunday night in Winnipeg.

Jake Middleton put the Wild (1-0-2) on the board first with a goal 4 minutes, 6 seconds into the first period, but the Jets (3-0-0) got the equalizer with just two seconds remaining in the period with Mark Scheifele beating the buzzer.

Then it was a scoreless draw for the next 40 minutes behind excellent goaltending from Wild goalie Filip Gustavsson and Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck.

Gustavsson had 33 saves on 35 shots, while Hellebyck stopped 26 of 27 Wild shots.

It's the second straight loss for the Wild in a game that took more than 60 minutes in as many days coming off Saturday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Seattle Kraken.

And Saturday's game was the first of a seven-game road trip for the Wild. They'll look to get back on track Tuesday when they visit the St. Louis Blues for a 6:30 p.m. puck drop.
