Minnesota's top high school basketball player and the No. 4 ranked player in the country, Aaliyah Crump, is transferring from Minnetonka High School to Montverde Academy in Florida for her final season of prep hoops.

Last year as a junior at Minnetonka, Crump averaged 24.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.3 steals per game en route to leading the Skippers to a Class 4A state championship and a 29-2 record.

On July 8, she verbally committed to play college basketball at the University of Texas over other top offers from Ohio State, Duke and Minnesota. Listed as a 6-foot-1 guard, ESPN ranks her as the No. 4 overall player in the country in the class of 2025 rankings.

Standout freshman Ari Peterson, the daughter of Vikings legend Adrian Peterson, recently transferred to Minnetonka , but she will begin her high school journey without one of the best players in the country.

Montverde Academy has become a basketball powerhouse. It's where current NBA players Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons and Cade Cunningham finished their prep careers and Crump has a chance to become to next great athlete at the storied school.
