If you're attending the Minnesota State Fair any of the next three days, prepare to sweat. In fact, prepare for dangerous heat because the temperatures combined with tropical dew points will make it feel like a sauna on Sunday and Monday.

Saturday will be sticky but not to the point where it's almost unbearable. Take a look at the hour-by-hour heat indices from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday, according to the HRRR model.

    • 12 p.m.: 82 degrees
    • 1 p.m.: 84
    • 2 p.m.: 85
    • 3 p.m.: 86
    • 4 p.m.: 87
    • 5 p.m.: 87
    • 6 p.m.: 85
    • 7 p.m.: 84
    • 8 p.m.: 80
    • 9 p.m.: 78
    • 10 p.m.: 76

The heat indices become unbearable on Sunday as the "feels like" temps in the Twin Cities will soar into the upper 90s and low 1000s. Here are the hour-by-hour heat indices per the HRRR model on Sunday:

    • 7 a.m.: 70
    • 8 a.m.: 74
    • 9 a.m.: 78
    • 10 a.m.: 85
    • 11 a.m.: 90
    • 12 p.m.: 94
    • 1 p.m.: 98
    • 2 p.m.: 101
    • 3 p.m.: 103
    • 4 p.m.: 103
    • 5 p.m.: 103
    • 6 p.m.: 102
    • 7 p.m.: 99
    • 8 p.m.: 94
    • 9 p.m.: 91
    • 10 p.m.: 88

Monday could be a repeat of Sunday in the southern half of Minnesota. As of now, models are suggesting scorching-hot temps with oppressive humidity in the Twin Cities. The North American Model (NAM) is tossing out some absurd heat indices, reaching 106 in the metro and above 110 in rural areas of southern Minnesota.

There's also a chance of severe storms late Sunday in northern Minnesota and then again in southern Minnesota on Monday night into Tuesday morning, but only if storms are able to break through a very strong cap. That's why storm activity, if it happens, won't be until well after dark Monday night.
