Good News: Town of Bryant stepping up to improve park

STICKS BEAT TYNDALL TWICE TO ADVANCE TO STATE
The 14-and-under Sticks needed to beat Tyndall twice on Wednesday if they were going to return to the VFW State Tournament. They did, and it wasn’t even close. Playing in the championship round of the Region 7B Tournament the evening of July 17, Freeman/Marion walloped the host team, winning both games by a combined score of 24-3. The Sticks, who lost to Tyndall in 4-3 in the semifinals on Tuesday and 3-2 during the regular season, staved off elimination in Wednesday’s first game thanks to a 13-2 victory and then punched their return ticket to state with an 11-1 win to close out the tournament.
