Fitness enthusiasts and elite athletes from across the Appalachian Highlands Region will get to unleash their inner gladiator spirit at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday, Aug. 24, as they compete in the sixth annual Bristol Burnout presented by TOPBOX Fitness, a challenging fitness competition benefitting the Bristol Motor Speedway Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities.

Three-person fitness teams will compete for cash and bragging rights, all while helping raise money to support SCC-Bristol’s mission of helping local children in need. The event will once again be held from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the BMS South Building, located just inside the Speedway’s Entrance 2 off Volunteer Parkway / Hwy. 11E. The event will also utilize various parts of the Speedway property, including, of course, the iconic .533-mile short track where so much NASCAR history has been made.

“The Bristol Burnout presented by TOPBOX Fitness puts the spotlight on so many amazing athletes in a fitness competition structured around their passion, while at the same time, provides a platform to serve as a tremendous fundraiser to assist children in need throughout our region,” said Claudia Byrd, executive director of the Bristol chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities. “Time goes by so fast. It’s incredible to think that we are preparing to host this wonderful event for the sixth year in a row.”

There will be three divisions in this year’s competition, including RX, RXish and Scaled. Three person teams can be formed by gender (M/M/M and F/F/F). Each team will receive the popular branded “Bristol Burnout” gear as part of the registration fee.

Registration for each team is $245. Spectators tickets are $5, with proceeds going to SCC-Bristol. In addition to the competition, there will be plenty of vendors on site for participants and spectators to enjoy. Vendors attending the event include the U.S. Army, 7Five Clothing, Boozy Creek Smokers, LMNT, Groovy Grover’s, Bristol Berry Bowls and more!
