The Bristol Tennessee Police Department (BTPD) announced Thursday that the suspects allegedly gained access to the ATM at First Bank and Trust at 237 Pinnacle Pkwy early Tuesday morning. The same suspects reportedly did the same at the ATM at the First Bank and Trust at 1314 Volunteer Pkwy early on Thursday.

In both instances, the three suspects made off with what the BTPD described as “a large amount of cash.”

The three suspects were described by police as three Hispanic males. Two vehicles were reportedly seen being used by the suspects:

    • A blue Subaru Tribeca with a counterfeit North Carolina temporary plate that had a Washington & Lee University sticker in the lower, left back glass.
    • A white Kia Rondo with no registration plate.

The BTPD told News Channel 11 that the “working theory” as of Thursday was that the Bristol ATM burglaries were connected to an ATM burglary in Gray on Monday . However, a BTPD spokesperson said that connection has not been confirmed.

The Kingsport Police Department (KPD) also reports an ATM burglary took place on Tuesday at the First Bank and Trust at 1108 E Stone Drive. A spokesperson for the KPD said the suspects are believed to be the same as the ones from the Gray and Bristol burglaries.

The KPD also confirmed it is working with all other involved agencies as part of the investigation.

The exact amount of cash stolen from the ATMs was not provided.
