DES MOINES, Iowa — On this week'sClose Up, we look back at the Republican National Convention, where the Trump-Vance ticket was made official. Just days after an assassination attempt, former President Donald Trump accepted the GOP nomination during the RNC in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He spoke for more than an hour Thursday, with a white bandage covering his right ear that was pierced by a bullet from the would-be assassin in Pennsylvania, during a speech in which he called for the end of division and demonization in national politics.
