They were playing Rock, Paper, Scissors with fans in the crowd with time left on the clock! There was a lot of hype around this unusual conference matchup. Oregon was fresh off of a massive win over Ohio State on a short week. Purdue often gets the nickname ‘Spoilermakers’ because the Boilermakers always seem to play the spoiler with a random win over a top-25 that nobody expected. Perhaps the conversation about a potential top-five upset was too loud for this one to come to fruition. The Ducks scored 21 points in the first half and never looked back. They added a pair of touchdowns in the fourth quarter. They did not allow a single point. Even though Oregon beat Purdue 35-0, the margin of victory probably should’ve been much larger. It was such a dominant win that the players got bored during the fourth quarter.
