    Brockton Carnival tickets, games, concessions, more: What to know before you go

    BROCKTON — One of New England’s largest carnivals will be stopping in Brockton for five fun-filled days of thrilling rides, classic prize-winning carnival games and delicious fried finger foods next week.

    From July 31 to Aug. 4, Fiesta Shows will bring the fun back to the city of Brockton after the Brockton Fair, a nearly 150-year tradition, was canceled for good in 2022 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

    Next week, Brockton-area residents can once again look forward to a day spent making memories with family and friends over roller coasters, giant stuffed animal prizes and fried dough.

    Here’s everything you need to know about the carnival before you go.

    When is the carnival?

    The carnival will be in Brockton for five days: July 31 to Aug. 4. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the carnival will be open 5 p.m. to close. On Saturday and Sunday, the carnival will be open 1 p.m. to close.

    According to the carnival’s website , opening times are weather-dependent. Weather-related updates can be found on the company’s website or Facebook page.

    Where is the carnival?

    The carnival will take place at Brockton High School, located at 470 Forest Ave..

    Where can I buy tickets?

    Tickets can be purchased online and in person on site.

    How much are tickets?

    Admission into the carnival is $5 per person. Admission for children 12 and under is free.

    Individual ride credits can be purchased on site in person.

    There are also two ride packages, a megapass and a wristband, that can be pre-purchased online or on site in person. A megapass will get visitors unlimited mechanical rides on either Friday, Saturday or Sunday from 1 p.m. to close. A megapass will cost visitors $40 online or $45 in person. A wristband will get visitors unlimited mechanical rides on either Wednesday or Thursday from 5 p.m. to close, or Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. or 5 p.m. to close. A wristband will cost visitors $30 online or $35 in person.

    All ticket sales are final and there are no refunds.

    Is the carnival age restricted?

    There is no age restriction for entry, however, all children between the ages of 13 and 17 must be accompanied by an adult who is 21 years or older and each adult can only chaperone four minors at a time.

    What rides will be at the carnival?

    According to the company’s website, the rides that will be at the event have yet to be announced.

    However, past attractions at Fiesta Show carnivals have included ferris wheels, roller coasters, swings, bumper cars, carousels, fun houses, rock walls, slides and more.

    What concessions will be at the carnival?

    The Brockton carnival will have four concession stands serving chicken tenders, corn dogs, fries, jalapeño poppers, mozzarella sticks, cotton candy, popcorn, slushies, fried dough and ice cream.
