El Rancho Breakfast and Tacos to open on East Johnson Street
Following the recent closure of East Johnson Family Restaurant, a new breakfast-and-taco spot intends to open in Tenney-Lapham by mid-August. El Rancho Breakfast and Tacos, owned by José Torres and his son, Gerardo Florencio-Reyes, will serve scratch-made pancakes, French toast and omelets in the mornings. UW Health shares sarcoma risk factors
ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) - July is Sarcoma Awareness Month and UW Health shares what sarcoma is, the signs to look for, who is most commonly diagnosed and how it is treated. Sarcoma is a rare type of cancer that appears in in two forms: the first being bone sarcoma and the second soft tissues sarcoma which can appear in muscles, fat, blood vessels, nerves, tendons and the lining of the joints. UW Health says around 13,500 cases of soft tissue sarcoma are expected to be diagnosed in the US in 2024. While a rare cancer in adults, between 1,500 and 1,700 children are diagnosed each year throughout the nation.
