New Downtown tower redesigned, flips from apartments to ‘ammenitized’ for-sale condos
The exterior of the proposed pair of high-rise towers on the eastern end of downtown won’t be changing, but the inside is getting a shakeup. The ICCU Plaza project is underway at the corner of 4th and Idaho streets near St. Luke’s and is set to open in 2025. It will roll together retail, housing, medical and traditional office space, a branch for Idaho Central Credit Union and a multi-deck parking garage with space for more than 400 cars. The original plan called for 124 apartments for rent in the upscale, 11-story residential tower building. Now, developer Tommy Ahlquist said his firm pivoted and redesigned the project’s interior to feature 64 condominiums for sale instead.
