MARTIN COUNTY, KY TEENAGER SEVERELY INJURED ON LAWRENCE CO. FAIRGROUNDS
On Monday evening, July 1, 2024 a vehicle accident occurred in Louisa when a side by side rolled over at the BMX track on Town Hill Road, causing a young passenger, identified as Isabella “Bella” Thompson, 17, from Martin County, KY., (and had just graduated from Martin County High School in May), to be very seriously injured.
The heat continues to build across the Mid-Ohio Valley
PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - The 90s have made a return to the Mid-Ohio Valley Friday and today continues the stretch of 90 degree weather. We are in the middle of another heat wave as temperatures are humidity are expected to climb over the next few days. Luckily, we have been able to avoid oppressively humid weather, but we still have seen the heat index climb a degree or two higher than the actual temperature. That will stay the same on Sunday as we climb into the mid-90s. Our heat index is only going to move a degree higher than that.
Meadowbrook Mall hosts ‘Summer Extravaganza’, gives out gift cards
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - The Meadowbrook Mall hosted its first Summer Extravaganza event, as part of its customer appreciation day. On Friday, every half hour from 1 pm to 4 pm 150 $15 mall gift cards were distributed for free. Shoppers could use the cards anywhere in the mall during the three hours. There were also craft stations, face painting and a bouncy house, just a few ways the mall displayed its gratitude.
