Increase in MURC grants leads to new resources, changes
Through the efforts of Marshall’s faculty and staff and the execution of its Strategic Plan, the University’s grant awards are growing. $87.5 Million will be used to replace West Virginia Bridge over the Ohio River
A West Virginia bridge that has been closed since December, will be getting $87.5 million in funds to get it replaced. U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), Ranking Member of the Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee and member of the Appropriations Committee, announced $87.5 million to replace the Market Street Bridge over the Ohio River in Brooke County.
